Adcom said that Ringing Bells renamed Freedom 251 was bought from Adcom at Rs. 3600 per handset

Ringing Bells Freedom 251 is the world's cheapest phone that have ever released. The phone has lot more feature and know about the phone. Read Ringing Bells Freedom 251, Android 5.1 powered smartphone at ₹251.

Sanjeev Bhatia, Founder & Chairman of Adcom, mailed Gadget 360 about Freedom 251. The mail says that the company has sold its handset to Ringing Bells at Rs. 3600 per handset and they also claimed that the company didn't know that the Ringing Bells world resells the phone. 

The non-rebranded name of the handset is Adcom Ikon 4. Adcom stands for Advantage Computers and established in 1997.  But the Ringing Bells had changed the camera megapixel to 3.2mg from 5.0-mg. Adcom Ikon 4 comes with 5.0-megapixels and Ringing Bells has changed it to 3.2-megapixels.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, Telecom Minister said that the government has kept an eye on Ringing Bells and if it fail to deliver the handset then the government take would take action.

The company also said that the phone can't sell below Rs. 3500 even after a subsidized sale.
