What is Jailbreaking?

Jailbreaking is removing iDevice restriction which is restricted by Apple's OS. iPhone, iPad, iPod, and second-generation Apple TV are able to jailbreak. Jailbreak allows accessing to the file system. Configure settings, and download apps/games from third party apps/website. Jailbreak allows modifying themes of iDevice. Jailbreak also allows download paid apps/games/songs for free.

What is Unlocking?

Jailbreaking and Unlocking are not same. iPhones that are sold by a contract are only allowed to a particular SIM. For example, if you purchase an iPhone from EE, you cannot use any other SIM except the SIM which is allowed by the EE. Once the iPhone is unlocked, you can use any SIM in it.

Why Jailbreaking?

One of the main reasons to jailbreak is to get additional features, which are not available on the App Store. Jailbroken iDevice allows the user to hack wifi password, jailbroken iDevice can lock the folder and apps, jailbroken iDevice can get the file manager, jailbroken iDevice can have different types of transition while moving from one slide to another, jailbroken iDevice allows to change system fonts. These are the some of the most used features of jailbroken iDevice.
